Rainy Day Walk In Cinquain

Ah! Yes, my dog and I finally got some rain to beat the heat of our walks here in the Florida Sunshine State!

Picture a month of temperatures in the mid-eighties to low-nineties with high humidity (yet no rain!) You then understand why my dog Valentino and I were as ready as can be to walk the day away in the rain.

Enjoy our rainy day dog walk presented here as picture poems penned in Cinquain. (Click the pics for a larger view.)

A downpour of tiny bubbles made ripples of our footprints on the asphalt.

Raindrops help to beat the heat of the day while soaking my dog Valentino.

I in my Carl Edwards racing cap to keep my head dry while walking my dog.

Gray Matters Of Mind

Sometimes a black and white picture paints a thousand shades of gray matter in a mind and spirit.

GRAY MATTERS OF MIND

Black and white must
Leave room for gray
Matters of mind
Growing in gust
Trees of life sway
Sol spirits bind
The living trust
Mid an array
Of kith and kind.

I am linking this picture and poetry up with ABRACABADRA for Wordless Wednesday.

Sunshine Shadow Play On Dog Friendly Beaches

A Bark On The Beach-Gulf of Mexico

Often when my dog and I walk the dog friendly Lanark beach near our home here on the Gulf of Mexico, we enjoy a bit of shadow play and picture taking time in the Florida sunshine.

My hound dog, Valentino, is still a bit fearful of walking the pier and of sound and movement of waves crashing in upon the shore. We have learned to balance our time between both to still his fear.

In the shadows, are my dog and I walking on the pier or on the sandy seashore?

Visit Dog Pawsitive Tidbits for more walks with Ruthi and her dogs.
